Iron Dames reveal symbolic livery for seventh 24 Hours of Le Mans entry

by Petrol Mum

The Iron Dames return to the 24 Hours of Le Mans for the seventh year in a row, writing yet another chapter in their trailblazing story as the only all-female line-up among the 62 teams entered in the most iconic endurance race in the world.

Since 1923, the 24 Hours of Le Mans has been a proving ground where machines, teams and people are pushed beyond limits. Watched by over 300,000 fans on site and millions globally, Le Mans is not just the ultimate test of endurance—it’s the perfect platform to showcase what it takes to dream, commit and deliver.

In partnership with TotalEnergies, the Iron Dames proudly launch the next chapter of their purpose-driven journey with a bold statement: “Powering Your Dreams.”

Strengthened by the Porsche x Iron Dames collaboration and racing with reigning champions Manthey EMA in the #85 Porsche 911 GT3 R, the Iron Dames are entering the fourth round of the 2025 FIA World Endurance Championship at Le Mans with both high performance and high purpose.

After turning heads in 2024 with a livery inspired by children’s dreams, the Iron Dames return this year with a brand-new, next-level design that takes that vision even further. The 2025 “Powering Your Dreams” livery is symbolic as well as eye-catching, with every curve and colour reflecting the very pillars of the Iron Dames attitude:

This is more than a car—it’s a rolling declaration of what it takes to chase the impossible and a visual tribute to what it means to dream—and deliver, with the Iron Dames line-up being a perfect match for their message:

Rahel Frey (Switzerland) – A pioneer in international GT racing with two decades of elite motorsport experience, including multiple Le Mans appearances.

“I’m really looking forward to the 24 Hours of Le Mans—my favorite race of the year! Being back with Porsche, where we achieved our best result so far, and now joining the championship-defending team in partnership with TotalEnergies makes this event even more special. It’s another milestone for the Iron Dames project and a testament to how far we’ve come! Allez Iron Dames,” said Frey.

Célia Martin (France) – Making her Le Mans debut. Célia has quickly risen through the ranks of GT racing and now steps onto the world stage with the Iron Dames.

“Racing my first 24H of Le Mans is a dream come true, and doing it with the ‘Powering Your Dreams’ livery makes it even more special. Together with Iron Dames, Porsche, Manthey and TotalEnergies, we’re sending a message that goes beyond racing: ambition, inclusion, and determination — We’re proving that motorsport can be a force for change, empowering the next generation to chase their dreams, on and off track. And I am proud to share this adventure with my two experienced teammates Michelle and Rahel,” said Martin.

On Monday 9 June the Iron Dames announced that Michelle Gatting will not be taking part in this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans after sustaining foot fractures during a pit stop driver change in the previous day’s test session. Sarah Bovy will step in to join Rahel Frey and Célia Martin in the Iron Dames line-up. With four previous Le Mans starts and a strong track record, her experience and determination will be key as the team takes on this year’s challenge.

Together, they form a trio ready to challenge the best and push for a landmark result in the fiercely competitive LMGT3 category. In collaboration with TotalEnergies, Powering Your Dreams is more than a motto—it’s a movement designed to inspire a new generation to believe in themselves and pursue their goals with the right attitude. Through this initiative, the Iron Dames will activate fans and communities via:

  • A vibrant Iron Dames shop in the Le Mans Fan Village, featuring the Powering Your Dreams lifestyle collection
  • Interactive fan experiences and surprises combining sport, creativity and empowerment
  • Content and storytelling that highlights real journeys of ambition, resilience and success

Founded in 2018 by Deborah Mayer, Iron Dames is a groundbreaking project that empowers women to compete on equal terms with men in mixed-gender fields. The project made its beginnings in motorsport, becoming the first all-female line-up to win an FIA World Endurance Championship race in 2023. It has since expanded to a 16-driver line-up, contesting a range of disciplines including single seaters, rallying and karting.

The project is developing year-on-year, with Iron Dames Young Talents nurturing the next generation of female racers in grassroots motorsport and the expansion in equestrian with 12 top riders competing in the prestigious Longines Global Champions League.  In 2024, the team’s core values took on new significance with the educational and inspirational ‘Meet the Iron Dames’ and ‘Every Dream Matters’ initiatives.

“Women driven by dreams”: the Iron Dames motto applies to all women who break down barriers and go beyond their limits. For 24 Hours of Le Mans 2025 the Iron Dames are back. The car is ready. The message is clear!

In Australia, the 24 Hours of Le Mans can be watched live and on demand on Stan Sport, which is part of the Stan streaming service. Alternatively, the FIA WEC TV app offers coverage of the race.
