Kia Australia’s top service advisor Christine Dicker of Motorama Kia Moorooka has made a podium finish at the 6th biennial Kia Service Advisor World Competition, coming home with a bronze medal and continuing Australia’s legacy.

Christine earned her place in the global finals following her win at the local finals earlier this year, in which she beat five other finalists to be crowned the Australian champion.

Representing Australia and her dealership, Christine travelled to Seoul, South Korea in late June to compete in the final competition alongside 44 other finalists from 42 nations. Consisting of a written test and multiple practical tests, the final round aimed to evaluate the contestants’ capabilities in customer-facing scenarios and knowledge of on-site responses.

Upon being awarded bronze, Christine said, “I am so proud and thankful for the opportunity to represent my country, my dealership, and myself at this level”.

“This is an achievement I will never forget – I will take home the skills I have refined and share them with our team so that our customers get the best experience we can deliver”.

Held every two years in Seoul, the Kia Service Advisor World Competition is in its 6th year and returns from a 4-year pandemic-imposed hiatus. Christine’s bronze win marks Australia’s 4th podium finish overall, following bronze in 2013 and a dual silver and bronze win in 2019.

Kia Australia’s Chief Executive Officer, Damien Meredith said, “To have achieved 4 podium finishes in 6 years is a clear testament to the talent of our Service Advisors and the comprehensive training programs KAU has implemented through the years”.

“Christine should be incredibly proud of her achievements both in Korea and at home in Australia”.
