Ferrari Australasia are proud to announce the launch of ‘The Ferrari Red Lounge’, a never-before-seen Ferrari showroom and VIP party venue within the Champion’s Gateway, only meters from the F1 racetrack, at this years Rolex Australian Grand Prix. The Ferrari space will be celebrated with a special unveiling of the limited series, Ferrari Monza SP1.
The Ferrari Red Lounge is a custom-built structure that spans 240 square meters, immersing guests into the world of Ferrari over the four-day schedule, with delectable Italian hospitality. The space will continually evolve into the night, hosting VIP guests and private entertainment, to showcase two of the brands most iconic models, the Ferrari Portofino and Ferrari Monza SP1.
The Ferrari Monza SP1 is inspired by barchettas of the 1950’s aesthetic, which is futuristic, but at the same time a respectful homage to the past. The Ferrari Monza SP1 is equipped with the most powerful naturally-aspirated V12 ever produced by Ferrari. The power of the 812 Superfast’s 6.5 litre engine has been increased by 10 cv to 810 cv at 8500 rpm with a slight increase in torque to 719 Nm at 7000 rpm.
“The Ferrari Monza SP1 is truly a remarkable sports car, it has to be seen to be believed. We are happy to bring this one of a kind vehicle to Australia and share it with our guests of Ferrari.” says Herbert Appleroth, CEO of Ferrari Australasia.
“Our brand DNA is derived from our racing culture, so we’re proud to further our investment in the sport in the market and afford our valued Ferrari family the opportunity to experience the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix first hand.” says Appleroth.
2019 marks a landmark year for Ferrari and the world-renowned Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix with the introduction of Ferrari’s newest race team member, Charles Leclerc, replacing long-standing Ferrari team member Kimi Raikkonen.
“The Ferrari Red Lounge by day is to engage with our fans, our customers and our customers of the future. We feature two special vehicles that sit at either end of the ownership spectrum. The Ferrari Portofino first unveiled at Byron Bay this time last year is the entry point for most of Ferrari owners. Whereas the Ferrari Monza, which we unveil for the first time to the public this morning, is aimed at most important and loyal clients.” continued Mr Appleroth.
Each night The Red Lounge will host 100 Ferrari owners and VIP guests in true birdcage style, but under the stars along with Ferrari cars, a truly perfect way to experience the Australian Grand Prix.
