This weekend the sleepy town of Gulgong in mid-west New South Wales rumbled to the sound of A-Model Fords, as enthusiasts from all over Australia came together to celebrate the car’s 90th Birthday.
The A-Model Ford was the second model produced by the Ford Motor Company after the Model T Ford. It was produced between 1928 and 1932. When production ended nearly 5 million A-Model Fords had rolled off the production line.
Gulgong is a small town near Mudgee in New South Wales, an area quickly becoming known for its fine food and wine. Gulgong is known as the ‘ten dollar town’ because it became famous when it was depicted on the original $10 note in Australia.
