Sydney’s North Shore last night officially welcomed a brand new $10 million Ferrari showroom and service centre in partnership with the McCarroll’s Automotive Group. The new Ferrari North Shore showroom at 403 Pacific Highway Artarmon is now officially open, and joins the state-of-the-art Ferrari North Shore Service Centre located at 12 Barcoo Street Roseville which recently opened and is now fully operational.
More than 200 VIP guests including Dieter Knechtel CEO Ferrari Far & Middle East, Herbert Appleroth CEO Ferrari Australasia, and Ferrari North Shore dealer principal Simon McCarroll joined the celebrations.
Guests enjoyed a special unveiling of both the Ferrari 488 Pista and 488 Pista Spider which were brought together for the first time ever in Australia. Champagne flowed and an Italian-inspired menu created by award-winning chef Giovanni Pilu was served for the occasion.
“The addition of this stunning Ferrari North Shore showroom to our growing international network underlines Ferrari’s continued commitment to excellence. Our strong reputation for providing the best of the best to our clients in terms of products, services, unique experiences and cutting-edge facilities is well-supported by McCarroll’s substantial investment in this world-class facility,” said Dieter Knechtel, CEO Ferrari Far & Middle East.
Ferrari Australasia CEO Herbert Appleroth said the launch of an exclusive Ferrari-only dealership on Sydney’s North Shore, as well as Australasia’s largest service centre, was thanks to the record number of Ferrari sales in Sydney and New South Wales over the past few years.
“Sydney’s North Shore is home to a growing number of some of the most passionate and loyal Ferrari collectors in not only Australia, but the world,” Mr Appleroth said. “The all-new Ferrari North Shore showroom is integral to our growing dealer network globally and reflects the growing confidence the brand has in the Australian market. Ferrari has a long history with Sydney’s North Shore and it was important to find a partner that understands the local market and can perform to the inimitable Ferrari standard. We are thrilled to extend our relationship with The McCarroll’s Automotive Group in adding this new showroom to our network.”
Australia has a longstanding history with Ferrari and its position as a market of global significance has continued to develop in recent years. The first Ferrari arrived into Australia in 1952, just five years after the first Ferrari car was built in 1947. Sydney’s North Shore has played an important part of Ferrari’s history in Australia too, with the first dealer distribution first established in Roseville in the 1960s. Since the Ferrari Australasia office was first established here in 2013, the business has seen unprecedented growth and consecutive years of record sales. Sydney continues to lead the way, with Ferrari ownership within Sydney North Shore postcodes amongst the highest in the nation.
The multi-million-dollar investment and commitment by the McCarroll’s Automotive Group has resulted in a new world class automotive facility with the Ferrari North Shore showroom now officially open at 403 Pacific Highway Artarmon. The Italian inspired Ferrari North Shore showroom comprises of 1,200 square metres with much of the interior imported from Italy, featuring luxurious imported Italian-made furnishings from Cassina, Poltrona Frau, Casalgrande Padana, Barrisol and iGuzzini.
This is a significant year for our McCarroll’s team as we celebrate our 40th Anniversary in business, and our 29th year on Sydney’s North Shore, in 2018,” said Simon McCarroll, Dealer Principal of McCarroll’s Automotive Group. “We are thrilled that the addition of Ferrari North Shore to our dealer stable will now mark this milestone. Having successfully taken over the running of the Ferrari Sydney dealership in Waterloo in 2015, we have established great relationships with many loyal Ferrari clients and friends from the North Shore area and are very much looking forward to welcoming them in to celebrate this incredible new Ferrari facility with us.”
The Ferrari North Shore showroom has been built in partnership with Reitsma Constructions and architect firm Figgis Jefferson Tepa. The design of the showroom includes what will be an iconic talking point on the North Shore with a glass showcase suspended over the Pacific Highway where a Ferrari will be on display encased in a glass box, and a beautiful Italian themed garden loggia where clients can enjoy this space when taking delivery of their new vehicle.
This impressive dealership will reflect Ferrari’s global position as an established luxury leader and feature an exclusive customer personalisation area for clients to enjoy when ordering their unique and exclusive Ferrari. The heart of the exclusive Ferrari craftsmanship experience, this beautiful customer lounge and Ferrari atelier complements the state of the art showroom and optimises the experience for Ferrari owners to ensure perfect service and attention in all respects. Working with a specialist Ferrari team member, clients will be able to create their dream car, selecting every last detail from their choice of chair fabric to wheels, paint colour and steering wheel. The showroom will provide new ways for customers to interact and experience the very latest Ferrari product.
The ambience of the showroom is exquisite and reflects the passion and luxury of the Ferrari brand fittingly. Be sure to drop by and say ‘Hello’ to the Ferrari North Shore team next time you are in the area.
